
One of my favourite maps this one with large areas to cover and a
huge base to have to defend. The placement of the defence is more
important on this map then any of the individual skill as there is
so much to cover. But an attacker can lose a lot of his protection
before he gets anywhere near the flag if the defence are in the right
positions. This map is probably one of the few if not the only one
that I would recommend a defence of 3. After 10 minutes or so of showing
the other teams that you really do intend to keep your flag it would
be wise to move one of them up to the middle area to keep an eye on
team-mates returning with flags and to stop other FCs on route. A
defender situated near to the PS will allow him to have a great view
of the flag and if he's any good with the RG he can take his time
with his aim. The other defender I would recommend having up high
is by the 100 cells 90 degrees from the flag from the PS defender
as then both entrances from above are covered and also allow a good
coverage of the flag. This defender also has a perfect view of the
main entrance on the ground floor, which is where I would suggest
the 3rd defender being situated. Make sure this guy is one of your
best One-on-One guys (DMer) as his skills will be depended on to halt/slow
incoming attacks. With loads of ammo and a PS in base the next best
thing is the RA area which has the CG, 150 bullets, rockets, slugs
and health packs for the top 2 defenders to keep using. Below this
area on the bottom floor is a ramp at the top of which are 100 cells.
These two exits (from above and below) lead out into the middle area
where the RG is placed. Crates and walls are dotted around on the
ground floor providing some amusing chases and bewildered defenders
as the FC suddenly disappears over one. The top part of this area
has little protection for the FC once he has wondered out and so getting
to his own base quickly is something that shouldn't be thought about
lightly! If the other teams use their defender in similar positions
to yours then get your attackers to either get tooled up in their
own base or attack together and kill the defenders rather than just
try and avoid them.
