Just like a couple of the other maps, there is no need to defend
right on top of the flag, as the nearest respawn point is at the bottom
of the ramp half way between the flag and the middle ground (where
the RG is located). Use one defender to keep and eye on the ramp entrance
and another to watch over the RA area (the other main entrance), where
he has a good advantage point on incoming attackers as well as being
able to keep tooled up with cells and armour. The ramp entrance is
the least used out of the two entrances because of attackers respawning
in the middle and trying to go via the second entrance to get tooled
up on the way. When attackers do come in via the ramp, the defender
has enough space and time to let off a few shots while backing away
back into base and giving a shout to his team-mate(s). With the PS
located in an alcove on a ledge above the flag, and a RL and ammo
nearby a defence can hold off single attackers comfortably. This map
more than any other is the one where the defence really have to be
taken out to get the flag out safely to the middle ground as there
is no room to strafe jump for any length of time and a good defence
will have the exits covered. Once you've stolen the flag don't be
too eager to escape as getting past the middle will be difficult.
Get yourself tooled back up and prepare to have your teammates cause
a diversion to protect you in the middle. If you're struggling to
get another team's flag, just keep attacking and don't allow the defence
to settle. Don't wait around too long tooling up and attack together.
Getting the flag back can be a real nightmare if the team is prepared
to sit on it for a long time so at times it can be best to leave your
base completely and do a mass attack on them and hope you can return
your flag on the way back once it's been stolen again.
