Grievances will only be listened to via email. If, for whatever reason, you have a grievance against a Match Admin then please email it to The Savage Council If, for whatever reason, you have a grievance against a Council Member then please email it to The Savage Council Chairman Please do not expect all problems to be sorted out on the night. Once you have mailed your grievance you should expect a reply within a week. If you are experiencing problems with connecting to a SavageUK (Match or Public) Server from an ISP other than the NGUK ones, please perform a DOS tracert to the IP of the server you are experiencing problems with and post the results on NGUK's UBB and the problem will be investigated. Season Length - 10 weeks Maps - The present Savage q23tCTF League map list is as follows: Match Times - During a Season Matches are played once a week on a Evening. Start times are dependent on your Division and are as follows: · Division 1: 4pm This will be a maximum of 5 minutes (subject to the discretion of the Match Admin) to join the server initially, and then make any changes to their team between the 2 games. Matches will start 5 minutes after the designated time at a maximum. It is up to you to be on the Match Server in time for the game. The Match Admins are instructed NOT to wait for overflows or players reconnecting, so use the 5 minutes to get your team organised. Rescheduling of Matches - A clan may only reschedule one Match a season, BUT the other clan must agree first and may, if they wish, turn you down therefore receiving a Default win. Reschduling is done on the schedule page. Internet Relay Chat - Details are as follows: · Server: irc.barrysworld.com:6667 Match Server details - will be given out in IRC 5 minutes before a Match Starting time and will not be given out any earlier so please do not ask. Please make sure a Clan representative is in #3tctf to collect server details. Please make sure that you wear your Clan Tags whilst in #3tctf to allow admins to easily identify missing/absent clans. Swearing, flooding or anything else classed as disruptive in #3tctf, #savage.q2admins and #council is not permitted; you WILL be kicked/banned if you do so. Please do NOT join the Match Server until an Admin gives the all clear and the match server is cleared from the last game (in the case of a match over-running). Please do NOT join the #savage.q2admins or #council IRC Channel unless you are requested to do so by a Council Member or in the case of #savage.q2admins by a Match Admin. If you do then you WILL be kicked. If the IRC server crashes please use either one of the following: · IRC.THEDBS.COM:6667 Quake 2 3tCTF Server Mod - 3tCTF v 1.11 Server Settings - Are as follows: · Frag Limit: 0 The only additional patch you require for "out of the box" Quake 2 is the official ID 3.20 Point Release which is available top download from here Match Length - One 30-minute GAME. Match Scoring Points will be given out per game as follows: · 3 points for a win Captures scored will decide the winner of each game. If 2+ Clans have the same amount of Captures by the end of the game it will be classed as a Draw in termsof them sharing the points. E.g. Clan A: 10aps, Clan B: 10caps, Clan C: 5aps, then Clan A and Clan B would get 2 points each and Clan C would get 1. Team size - 5 players. Rate - Should be 8000 or below. If an Admin detects a player with a rate above that the player will be asked to lower it. If the player concerned does not lower their rate within 2 minutes of being asked they will be kicked from the game. cl_maxfps - should be 90 or below. If an Admin finds a player with a cl_maxfps above that they will be asked to lower it. If the player concerned does not lower their cl_maxfps within 2 minutes of being asked they will be kicked from the game. Team Communication - Please keep all messages to 'messagemode2'/'say_team'/'STEAM'. It is up to you to find out how to do this. Spectators - Are NOT allowed on to the Match server. If a member of a Clan joins a Match Server and is not playing, they will be asked to leave by the Admin. If they do not leave they WILL be kicked. Comms - Real-time voice-comm utilities such as Battlefield Communicator and Roger Wilco are permitted. Match Colours - No preferences. The Admin will decide any disputes however. Defaults - If a Clan turns up with less than 3 (THREE) players by the latest starting time then the Admin will default the game against them. If during a game a Clan deliberately drops below 3 (THREE) players a "Default" will be given against them - overflows are of course excluded from this rule. In the occurrence of a default being given the following will be awarded per game defaulted: · 3 Points If a Clan defaults halfway though a game the above will count unless the Cap score is greater in which case the greater Cap score will be given. If a Clan should miss/default 2 league Matches in a season then they will be removed from the League. Match Server Crashes - This, unfortunately, does sometimes happen. If it does please go to IRC #3tctf and await your new Match Server details. If a spare Match Server cannot be found then the Match will be replayed at a later, mutually convenient date to be decided by the Savage Council. Following a Server Crash the game will be played with the following game Length: · Time remaining greater than 25 Minutes: New Game It is understandable that a Clan might feel aggrieved due to positions and weapons being held on the map. This cannot be taken into account in a replay. If the Match Server crashes before 5 minutes of game has been played then it will be classed as a new game and any score will be reset. If a game has been playing for more than 5 minutes then the score at the time of the Match Server crash will be carried forward to the replay. Clan "Whoring" - Will NOT be tolerated. A player cannot play for more than one team within the Savage q23tCTF League. If a player changes Clan there must be a gap of 2 weeks between their last appearance for their old Clan and their first appearance for their new Clan. If it is found that a player has broken this rule the Match they played in will be classed as a Default in favour of the opposing Clan. The player will also receive a 4 match Ban. If a Clan breaks this rule twice they will be kicked from the League. It is up to the Clan to make sure they know who is playing for them. A player may play for more than one Clan if it is for another MOD. Players from clans outside the SavageUK q23tCTF League may play for Savage clans
as well as their own clan.
· The player must be registered on the clan's CAPS
members list.
If a clan is found to be fielding a player who is not on their members list, or
within the two week tied period, that clan will be penalised by a three point
deduction per incident. If the rule is broken in both 20 minute games, six points
will be lost. A player may still not play for two clans within SavageUK q23tCTF, so if the player's original clan also joins the SavageUK q23tCTF League, that player must chose which clan he will play for. He may change his mind, but will be subject to the two match period during which he may not play. The q2ctf Boardroom - Is there for you to say what's on your mind. However it is NOT there to verbally abuse any of the Savage Council or Admins, if you do you will receive a 2 Match ban and if that does not stop the abuse then your clan will be removed from the league. If you have a grievance do NOT use the Boardroom. Instead please use the grievance procedures as detailed above. The Savage Council reserves the right to delete or edit posts that are felt to bring the Savage q23tCTF League into disrepute. Bots - Will NOT be tolerated. Bots are easy to spot. If a player is found to be using a Bot they will be banned for LIFE. Bots include Speed, auto-aim bots, health bots, etc... Proxies - Will NOT be tolerated. If a player joins a Match Server with a Non-default port they WILL be kicked. It is up to the player to make sure they connect using the default port. For the purposes of this league, a proxy is defined as a piece of third-party software that intercepts and modifies the data packets sent between the Q2 client and the Q2 server, this includes software such as:
· Xania Auto-synching/Auto- timers - Will NOT be tolerated. If a player is found to be using an auto-synching timer they will be kicked. - Note by auto-synching we mean the automated team-wide synchronisation of a timed event (Quad spawn, PS spawn, etc..) or the automated starting of a timer. 60 second ps.wav/quad.wav sound files that have to be started manually are OK, as are programs such as BattleCom/Roger Wilco. Hacked quake2.exe Files - Will NOT be tolerated. If a player is found to be using a hacked quake2.exe file they will be banned for LIFE. If it is found that a playing Clan or Clan member caused the Match Server to crash then the match will be forfeited with the opposing Clan receiving the default score. Spamming/Flooding the server - Will NOT be tolerated. If a player repeatedly uses 'messagemode1'/'say' or the console to Spam or Flood the Match Server during a game they WILL be kicked. Clans will be placed on a points basis first then by Cap difference. If at the end of the season a division has 2 teams on the same points that are in the promotion/title or relegation zone then these clans will play-off against each other with the nearest rival being the remaining opponent. If there are 3 teams on the same placing then they will ALL play each other. If 2 are still on the same Cap number then Cap difference throughout the season (not including this game), will decide the next spot. The Savage UK q23tCTF League reserves the right to change these rules as it sees fit due to circumstances beyond the Leagues control. |
