Grievances will only be listened to via email. If, for whatever reason, you have a grievance against a Match Admin then please email it to The Savage Council If, for whatever reason, you have a grievance against a Council Member then please email it to The Savage Council Chairman Please do not expect all problems to be sorted out on the night. Once you have mailed your grievance you should expect a reply within a week. If you are experiencing problems with connecting to a SavageUK (Match or Public) Server, please perform a DOS tracert to the IP of the server you are experiencing problems with and post the results to the Savage Servers Forum Please remember to tell us where you are based, what ISP, type of connection etc. as it all helps to identify possible problems. Season Length - 7 weeks Maps - Please see the in built fixture system for the current lineup of maps. Match Times - During a Season Matches are played once a week on a Monday and Tuesday evenings. Start times are dependent on your Division and are as follows:
Games will start as near to the Match Time as possible. The latest a game will start is as follows: 10 Minutes after the allotted start time. This will give clans a maximum of 10 minutes (subject to the discretion of the Match Admin) to join the server. It is up to you to be on the Match Server in time for the game. It is recommended that Clans stay on the Match Server between games, as the Match Admin are instructed NOT wait for overflows or players reconnecting. Rescheduling of Matches - A clan may reschedule Matches, BUT the other clan and Head Leagues admin must agree first and may, if they wish, turn you down therefore receiving a Default win. Internet Relay Chat - Details are as follows: Server: any QuakeNet
server
Match Server details - will be given out in IRC shortly before the match start time and will not be given out any earlier so please do not ask. Please make sure a Clan representative is in #savage.cs to collect server details. Please make sure that you wear your ClanTags whilst in IRC to allow admins to easily identify missing/absent clans. Swearing, flooding or anything else classed as disruptive in the afore mentioned IRC channels is not permitted; you WILL be kicked/banned if you do so. Please do NOT join the Match Server until an Admin gives the all clear and the match server is cleared from the last game (in the case of a match over-running). Please do NOT join the #admins or #council IRC Channel unless you are requested to do so by a Council Member or in the case of #admins by a Match Admin. If you do then you WILL be kicked. CounterStrike 1.5 - Standard CS match mode. Server Settings - Are as follows:
Match Length - A MATCH consists of TWO No Timelimit HALVES. Match Scoring - Match scored out of 24 rounds, winner declared if 13 rounds or more won by one clan. Points will be given out per game as follows:
Team size - 5 players. (3 players minimum). You can chose to field less players than normal if the other team is understrength but you do NOT have to. CS Specific rules-
Spectators - Are NOT allowed on to the Match server. If a member of a Clan joins a Match Server and is not playing they will be asked to leave by the Admin. If they do not leave they WILL be kicked. Subs - Are NOT allowed on to the server unless:
Once the dropped player rejoins the Sub must drop immediately. Comms - Real-time voice-comm utilities such as Battlefield Communicator and Roger Wilco are permitted. Team choice - A knife round will now be Used to Decide the Teams, The winning Team chooses which side they would like to play first. The Rules for the Knife Fight are, Keep Guns, No grenades of any Kind and no Planting of the Bomb. If Any Player is Injured by a Bullet from the opposing team in the Knife Round, The Round is then Defaulted resulting in the Injured Parties Team Choosing which Side to play first. Defaults - If your clan turns up with less than 3 players you may receive a default loss if you are not able to get 3 players on before the match is due to start. If during a game a Clan deliberately drops below 3 players a Default will be awarded to the other Clan - overflows are of course excluded from this rule. In the occurrence of a default being given the following will be awarded per game defaulted:
If a Clan defaults halfway though a game the above will count unless the round score is greater in which case the greater round score will be given. A Clan will not be allowed to continue scoring if the opposition has defaulted the game. If a Clan should miss/default 2 league Matches in a season then they will be removed from the League. Match Server Crashes - This, unfortunately, does sometimes happen. If it does please go to IRC #savage.cs and await your new Match Server details. If a spare Match Server cannot be found then the Match will be replayed at a later, mutually convenient date to be decided by the Savage Council. Following a Server Crash the game will be played with the following game Length:
If the Match Server crashes before 5 minutes of game has been played then it will be classed as a new game and any round score will be lost. If a game has been playing for more than 5 minutes then the round score at the time of the Match Server crash will be carried forward to the replay. Cheating & Disruptive Behaviour Cheat programs / hacks Will NOT be tolerated. CHEATSThe rules on cheats are simple - 0% tolerance. All files and functions associated with any cheat regardless of their state are forbidden. No exceptions or exemptions will be made for any player or clan regardless of status or circumstance. Anyone having cheats on their computers for legitimate purposes (e.g. public server admins for watching demos) are required to remove them from their Hard Drive(s) before joining a Savage league or public server. The Savage CS servers run aggressive cheat detection software that will scan your hard drive for cheats. If a cheat is detected, that player and clan will be punished immediately by the resident game admin. No explanations or excuses will be heard and admins are forbidden to discuss these matters. Further, we will also be taking HLTV Demos which will allow us to watch suspicious activity from any players 1st person viewpoint. Bottom line, if you are thinking about cheating in this league then don't bother, because we WILL catch you in the end. CHEAT PUNISHMENT Player Clan Both player and clan are punished. We do however understand that rogue players can ruin a clan. By punishing players severely we hope that clan leaders can resolve further issues. No clan will receive a life ban from the league. This allows them to return afresh next season and clear their name should they so wish. AbuseAbuse to admins or other clans - Will NOT be tolerated. Player Abusing the admins or opposing clan will result in a 1-match ban. Constant abuse will result in a season ban. Clan Abusing the admins or opposing clan will result in default match loss. Constant abuse will result in a season ban. Spamming/Flooding the server - Will NOT be tolerated. If a player repeatedly uses 'messagemode1'/'say' or the console to Spam or Flood the Match Server during a game they WILL be kicked. Clan "Whoring" - Will NOT be tolerated. A player cannot play for more than one team within the Savage CS League. If a player changes Clan there must be a gap of 8 days between their last appearance for their old Clan and their first appearance for their new Clan. If it is found that a player has broken this rule the Match they played in will be classed as a Default in favour of the opposing Clan. The player will also receive a 2 match Ban. If a Clan breaks this rule twice they will be kicked from the League. It is up to the Clan to make sure they know who is playing for them. A player may play for more than one Clan if it is for another MOD / GAME. Players from clans outside the Savage CS League may play for Savage clans
as well as their own clan. The league runs full WONID/STEAMID checking and players not accurately registered on the Savage CAPS system will not be allowed to play. The CS Forum - Is there for you to say what's on your mind. However it is NOT there to verbally abuse any of the Savage Council or Admins, if you do you will receive a 2 Match ban and if that does not stop the abuse then your clan will be removed from the league. If you have a grievance do NOT use the Boardroom. Instead please use the grievance procedures as detailed above. The Savage Council reserves the right to delete or edit posts that are felt to bring the Savage CS League into disrepute. The SavageUK CS League reserves the right to change these rules as it sees fit due to circumstances beyond the Leagues control. |
