Genx drew Ck and two of the oldest clans around, BBC and SS filled the other Semi Final spot. We were in for some great matches. Here's what happened: SEMI FINALS - Q2CTF2K1 - 20:30 GET EVEN NOT XTERMINATED v CLAN KRUSTY CK got off on the wrong foot against the ever-impressive genx, losing an early cap to [genx]Rain in the second. Ck supporters in #scores were disappointed still further as [genx]che grabbed another cap. However [Ck]Mayday soon gave his clan's supporters something to cheer for as he pulled a cap back, and somewhat amusingly then instantly overflowed. [genx]Rain soon took advantage of this hole in the ck lines and put his clan 3 - 1 up. Ck held out well for another five minutes, but in the end, the elusive [genx]Hornet slipped through the clutches of the Ck defence, making it 4 - 1. All looked lost for Ck. However, they showed great spirit and got themselves 2 caps, provided by top hpb [Ck]SpK and from [Ck]Mayday in the fifteenth minute. By now the atmosphere in #scores was electric all supporters willing their teams on. Again, Ck and genx exchanged caps as [genx]Exor and then [Ck]SpK boosted their respective clans' scores. At the halfway point it was 6 - 4 to the genx chaps. By now the Ck defence was dealing with the genx attacks very well, and held out for another six minutes. However, then genx managed a major breakthrough and over the next minutes, [genx]Exor and [genx]hornet got two very good caps followed by another from [genx]Flight, followed by yet another cap at the hands of [genx]Hornet. It was here that [Ck]Mayday managed CK's last cap of the game, and [genx]Exor answered this with genx's twelfth. The game was over, and CK's valiant cup run had come to an end. Genx were through to the final. Respect to both clans for a very well fought match. SUICIDE SQUAD vs BIG BASTARD CLAN This game promised to be a very exciting one, especially as it was being played by two such great clans on a map that was fairly unfamiliar to the both of them. Here's what happened: The match looked as though it might be a very close run thing, as neither clan managed a cap inside the first 5 minutes of the match. However, it was in the sixth minute that [BBC]genesis crashed through the SS defence to put BBC 1 - 0 up. This was followed 2 minutes later by a cap from that man [BBC]Nog, and a minute later again, [BBC]Killemall took advantage of the chaos in SS's base and got BBC's third. At this point, after just 10 minutes, SS looked done for. With the SS defence now in real trouble, [BBC]genesis grabbed two more, as well as another 2 BBC caps from their ranks. BBC were now firmly in control, leading at the halfway mark 7 - 0. Finally, those Suicide Squad chappies got their game together and got two quick caps from [SS]Drugs and [SS]Apprentice. However, hopes of an SS comeback were soon dashed as BBC extended their lead, despite [SS]Drugs pulling another cap back. 9 - 3. Sadly it looked as if the match was all but over. This was confirmed when [BBC]genesis and [BBC]Nog continued to cap away. And despite [SS]Raildancer getting a final consolation cap for SS, [BBC]Killemall put the final, decisive nail in the SS coffin with a cap to make it 12 - 4. Sadly SS had finished their run, but BBC were through and were obviously thirsty for some genx blood. End of the Semi Finals So this was it. The two most impressive clans of the day prepared to lock horns and do battle for the title. Fun Cup? Hah! This is WAR baby! |
