Cup signups 2004-04-20 20:38:26
by: Mantis

Yeap, they are open and it's 1.7 1 flag cctf madness all the way.
That means all runes, enemy respawn *and* bonus quads :). So if your of a mind to get together with a few others and have a laugh, the signup link is HERE

Cap registration is unnecessary for cups but you may only play for *one* team during the cup.

League signups are now re-opened on the link to the right.

Caps Registration IS required for the league, but as per usual, if players register before the first weeks match then there is no waiting period.

Gluck.

SavageUK are happy to announce help for budding Threewave CCTF players ....

A complaint has been that many players are just too experienced in CCTF to allow new players to gain enough skills to compete anymore.
No longer ... The Savage CCTF community here in the UK are opening their doors to help out all players who would like to learn to play the game!

In the words of Cupidstunt: The CCTF community would like to invite interested people to a gentle introduction to CCTF. We get you over the first hurdles, provide help with the grapple and configuration stuff. The tutorial takes place in channel #cctf on quakenet. A dedicated server is set up for your first steps. Meet us on Wednesday 8pm (UK time).

You can post questions/comments on our CCTF forum.

So join us for some fun :)

LJ is MAD! 2004-03-31 01:11:50
by: Slave
Ever thought about jumping out of an airplane without a parachute while 10,000 feet up? Well LJ's not only thought about it but will be actually doing it in May .. !

To raise money for the Red Cross he's going to be taking a Tandem Skydive from 10,000 feet, falling at over 120mph until 5,000 feet when hopefully! the parachute will open and he'll land safely somewhere.

The crux is that he needs to raise £340 to do the jump. If you'd like to make sure he has the funds to make the jump then please support him and ..

League Fixtures ..... 2004-03-01 21:28:10
by: Mantis

Fixtures are now up HERE, Select Div 1 from the drop down menu for divisions for the mo.

Also Please ignore the dboxctf2 reference in the first week, it is actually Heat twice.

Signups will of course open for next season. The league will commence this Thursday,9pm on the 4th of March.
It's going to be one long season and one big division (to be reviewed depending on signups), but better that, then one very short one i think :).

Gluck all :).

The Savage Cup fixtures, format and maps are now up HERE.

You'll notice the cup is now to be over three weeks, and not two as originally intended.
If you study the format, you will find This is due to the odd number of clans entered.
This format is employed in search of a fairer system for entry into the semis then sending the "highest scoring / capping" loser through in the initial group stages.

It also adds more games and interest, and makes sure we get the "best of the rest" (Only on that particular map on that particular day of course ;) ) through to the semis.

Gluck peeps... Have FUN!

Two week Savage Cctf Cup starting Thursday the 5th of February.
*Every* clan in the league is already entered (and obliged).

it will be at league times with league settings.

Any clan on Savage Caps is eligible to enter along with those automatically and already entered by subscription to the league.

I need two map choices off each clan leader before monday the 2nd of february.

Mail them to me at savage@gaming.eclipse.co.uk.

Lock and load "gentlemen".
Gluck.

CCTF Returns to Savage 2004-01-11 14:31:50
by: Mantis
Savage are pleased to announce the return of the Threewave CCTF league...

For many this represents the last best chance for the Flagship mod of Q3 to continue, here where it all began.

So signups are now open HERE. Please sign up as soon as possible so we can work on the format, maps etc and fix a start date asap.

The usual polls for maps and stuff will be going up on the forum sometime within the next couple of days and your input is required.

"If you build it they will come" :)

Clan tags during matches 2003-10-26 15:52:28
by: Hots
Just a quick reminder that clan tags are required when teams are playing matches, irrespective of whether that is yet specified in the rules for that league.
